The work includes site grounding (to properly ground steel structures and conveyor belts) for a flotation building and two transfer towers at Newmont’s Phoenix Mine near Battle Mountain, NV. Northern Electric will be working in conjunction with Schmueser & Associates, the general contractor on the projects.

Colorado-based electrical contractor continues to earn significant local and national projects
Westminster, CO (February 2012) – Northern Electric, Inc. (www.northernelec.com) is proud to announce that the company was awarded the electrical construction and special systems installation contract for the new, $173 million Poplar Bluff Regional Medical Center in Poplar Bluff, MO. The electrical contract is valued at $16 million and includes a joint venture with Marrs Electric of Tulsa, OK and Springdale, AR. The electrical work encompasses a complete electrical installation, including power distribution, lighting, fire alarm and special systems within the new 425,000 square foot, eight story facility. MJ Harris Inc. of Birmingham, AL is the general contractor for the project.

The Poplar Bluff Regional Medical Center will transform the delivery of healthcare in that region. The new hospital will offer 250 private rooms, the expansion and addition of important healthcare services, enhanced technology and easier accessibility. It will also include new health services such as neurosurgery and expanded emergency room and cardiac care services. It is scheduled for completion by early 2013. |

Colorado-based electrical contractor continues to earn significant local and national projects
Westminster, CO (February 2012) – Northern Electric, Inc. (www.northernelec.com) is proud to announce that the company was recently awarded the electrical construction contract for the new Gulfstream Building “Y” in Savannah, GA, on behalf of the Gulfstream Aerospace Corporation. The building will total 370,000 square feet, and will be located adjacent to the Savannah Airport. KBR Building Group (formerly BE&K) is the general contractor.
Northern Electric’s work will include the installation of various electrical and special systems including high and medium voltage distribution systems, chiller power, an emergency generator distribution and backup system, high efficiency high bay lighting, complete door access controls and security, CCTV, WiFi, and a complex underfloor trench system to facilitate compressed air, power and data systems. The building will be used to manufacture and assemble customized small to large size corporate jet aircraft for use throughout the world.
